Slimming World Baked Oats

Hi guys!
I haven't posted about anything slimming worldy in a while! Not to worry- I am still on it but mised weigh in for 2 weeks but there will be another update to come next week when I'm back.

In the meantime I wanted to discuss a recipie that has been super popular on the slimmig world support pages and Instagram pages recently- the baked oats!

If your a true slimmingworlder you will have heard of the overnight oats and those are fab for an on the go brekkie, but these baked oats are so yummy and yesterday I put a twist on the recipie which I will share with you..
Here they are in all their glory.. Slimming world chocolate baked oats!!

Ingredients
Oats (35g) - I used oat so simple packets!

Alpro Soya Chocolate Milk (100g) - I used this as part of my HexA. If you don't fancy the chocolate spin you can use 100g of any milk you use within your hex range.

1 egg

Optional extras:
Sprinkle of Cinnamon
2 tbsp sweetener
1tsp choc shot

How to:
Put your oats and egg into an oven proof dish and stir well.

Add your milk and continue to stir

Sprinkle the cinnamon and sweetener

Put into preheated oven at 180

Let it cook for 20 mins or until golden brown (and not a minute sooner! I've been too keen sometimes and had soggy oats!)

Take it out and top with optional extra sweetner/ choc shot/ fruit!

Mine was amazing and I've had this so many times now! Let me know if you make it and if you enjoy.

Until next time!

Lush Mother's Day products

Hi all! another lush review from me today - you could say I'm obsessed!

I have my favourites of course but I do love to try new products which they have in for special Occasions, and this time it's Mothers Day!

What a fantastic day. Mother's Day can often be a hard thing to decide on for a gift and with it being not long after Valentine's Day, I know I can get a little stuck in a rut and end up just getting the same old flowers, perfume etc. But is that really the best?

We should want to spoil and pamper out mums and this is why I think a day of relaxation, a pamper pack if you will - including some fantastic Mother's Day gifts from lush would be fantastic and a definite cheaper alternative from booking a pamper day out!

So.. Back to the products ..

3 specific Mother's Day items caught my eye
- Mother Superior(the blue one!)
- secret Garden (the green one!)
- Ultraviolet (the purple rainbow!)

Mother Superior
This is the beautiful Mother Superior bubble bar! Like always with a bubble bar you run it under the tap to create tons of bubbles for your bath!
Mother Superior is fab because it has the scent of Sakura which is fantastic but lacks on the colour excitement element where as mother superior does not. I had a fab blue tinged amazing smelling wash.

What's more.. Mother Superior is so cute and looks like Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas!!

Secret Garden
Secret Graden is the (expectedly) flower floral fragrance scented bath bomb. Made my bath turn a really sweet green colour and the scent lingered on my skin for so long!
A must have for any first lush bath moning mums!

Ultraviolet
Okay! So I've got pros and cons with the ultraviolet bubble bar

Pros:
Smell - beautiful, violet, floral
Skin- feeling smooth and soft
The bar itself is MASSIVE and thick. This will do you at LEAST 3 extremely bubbly baths so that's good value for money

Cons:
Colour- don't get me wrong the outside colour is axing and this is one of the things along with the size that attracted me to this bar - but! The colour of the bath was a big Nono for me. It was like a really dingy purpley grey. Just not spectacular, and made it look like a dirty bath, rather than a really special flowery fun girly bath!

I suppose it's up to you though wether or not the colour is something you take into consideration when using bath bombs/bubble bars.

So there you have it. 3 of the Mother's Day products that caught my eye.. Stay tuned for the easter haul! I've already sneak peaked a golden sparkly egg!!! Ahhhhh!!!!

Lots of Love

Book review: Tanya Burr, Love, Tanya

Hey again guys! Another book review for you this week. This time it's quite hard to pin point the type of book. It's a non fiction bit of everything by YouTube sensation Tanya Burr.

Now if you haven't heard of this gaggle of youtube starts by now (Tanya burr, Zoe Sugg, Jim Chapman, Alfie Deyes, Louise(Sprinklofglitr)) then where have you been??? They are absolutely HUGE and most now have their own publications, they are a mix of both fiction and non fiction however Tanya Burrs is completely non fiction.
It isn't an autobiography as such though as it touches on the many things she does in her YouTube channel that has made her a huge success - make up, beauty, fashion and baking.

The first thing that you notice about this book is the quality and aesthetics, both of which are amazing. The book is a beautiful hardback and the spine is even sparkly. It's definitely a book you can use for decoration on your coffee table or dressing table when your done. And - I hope I'm not the only one?- but I love smelling books, and this books thick white shiny pages smelly yummy !

So here you have the contents and can see all of the different sections of the book. While I wont go through all of them I will talk a bit about my favourite sections...
The biography side!
This was definitely one of my top 3 sections of the book. It was really interesting and I love hearing about people's lives and what shaped them to be the person they are today. Tanya has a lot of lovely detailed stories from her childhood which is fantastic and really helps you to understand the girl behind the videos(which i watch on a regular basis!).

Next in my top 3 favourite sections of the book wasn't the whole make up section, it was simply the lists at the end. Near enough after every section of the book Tanya has included too 10 lists. Being a girl who loves organisation, writing things down and above all LISTS! This just had to be in my top 3. But a specific list topped them all and this was the top 10 beauty buys. I feel like Tanya, as a person was already quite well off and now gets sent a lot of high end beauty products to try and quite naturally, has fallen into a pattern of using them.

Quite recently I seen her go on about a moisturiser she had and how it was the best one ever. I watched the whole video to find out about it only to find out at the end it costs £90! I'm sorry?! Don't forget your audience tan- we like beauty buys and bargain Beauty buys which would make us feel that we can look like you is what we want!!

Lastly in my top 4, and this suprised me!! Was the cooking section. When I found out this was happening in he book my initial thought was oh god why??? She's just wasting space in this book there's clearly not a lot else to talk about!- wrong! This was a great section and the suggestions looked so yummy that I went the same day and bought ingredients for her triple chocolate cookies!  They were supposed to look like this
But mine ummmm....
Kind of mushed into one! But that's fine. That's why Tanya's the YouTube star. not me haha!

Overall: I'd give this book a 2 and a half out of 5.

Reasons being:
I read it in one day (for the price, umm)
I feel like there was no new information, everything she said about make up and hair etc you can find out from hers or many others videos
Lots of high quality products- we want drugstore Tanya!

All in all, baking and the yummyness of even my cookies which turned out wrong have presented this book with more stars!

What did you think of Tanya's book? I'd love to know in the comments

Until next time!
